The Florida Broadcasters Foundation created the Florida Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2024 to honor the trailblazers of broadcasting and recognize some of the most impactful, inspirational, and influential figures in our history.
The awards presentation will celebrate the next class of the Florida Broadcasters Hall of Fame, who have earned a place in Florida’s broadcasting history. They are the pioneers, the innovators, and the stars of broadcasting whose contributions advanced and revolutionized the industry in Florida.
Hall of Fame inductees are chosen based on their distinguished professional career directly tied to Florida, devoting a minimum of 25 years to the industry. Hall of Fame inductees are chosen from nominations by current and former employees of FAB member station(s). The final award recipients are vetted and selected by the Florida Broadcasters Selection Committee representing the broadcast industry in Florida.
The Florida Association of Broadcasters (FAB) is a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of Florida to promote cooperation and understanding among broadcasters, both radio and television, as well as among businesses and other organizations associated within the broadcast industry. FAB has a long history of service to broadcasters and citizens of the state. FAB fosters and promotes local broadcasting in Florida, encouraging and promoting customs and practices which are in the best interest of the public and the broadcasting industry. We work to advance the interests of the local radio and television stations.
