NEWS
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER (Regular full time / Orlando, FL)
FOX 35 is looking for our next behind the scenes rock star, who loves news and current events, and who’s ultimate goal is to be a TV newscast or digital news producer.
This position is training ground for one of the most valuable roles in every newsroom: producer.
Associate Producers write clear, concise, conversational stories. Accuracy is paramount. Excellent writing skills required. AP’s work alongside anchors, reporters, producers, and managers to complete assignments on tight deadlines. Daily duties include transcribing video and interviews, picking soundbites, designing graphics, and basic research of news events. Every day you will develop strong news judgment and strategic thinking skills required of a news producer.
REQUIREMENTS: A strong foundation in journalism, mass communication, and/or media studies is preferred. Ideal candidate will be curious by nature, and approach every assignment with an open mind, eager to learn. A minimum of 1 year experience working in a television station preferable.
Preferred candidates must be strong writers open to daily feedback and critique aimed at career growth.
Must be well organized, able to manage multiple projects and work well under pressure.
This position requires availability for overnight, early morning, night, weekend, and holiday schedules.

DIGITAL CONTENT CREATOR/PRODUCER (Regular full time/Orlando, FL)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Create compelling, UX-focused content related to news, events and topics relevant to local users and beyond, including text stories, photos/graphics, live streaming content, breaking news, and social media elements. Engage and build loyalty among communities. Serve as liaison to newsroom, ensuring digital and social dominance. Reach and engage users on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and beyond. Work with Group Content Team and other FTS markets to distribute high-interest stories at scale. Follow group standards. Monitor real-time analytics. Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.

This anchor/reporter will enterprise investigative caliber content during the week, fill in for other anchors as needed, and work with news managers and producers to develop content and execute a strategy for weekend newscasts. METEOROLOGIST/WEATHER ANCHOR (Regular full time / Orlando, FL)

The FOX O&O in beautiful Orlando, FL has an immediate opening for a high-energy, highly-skilled weekend meteorologist. We’re looking for a motivated, team player who can easily translate complex weather data and convey it to the people who live underneath the radar.
You’ll be working in a place that basks in sunshine, until it becomes the lightning capital of the world and that’s all before Hurricane season starts. But you’re not stuck in a studio all the time — -you’re on location forecasting from one of the most high-tech storm chasers in the state. This position is part weekend weather anchor, part weekday weather chaser. You must have a strong, engaging live presence in studio and in the field.
REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a weather anchor in a medium or large market preferred. College degree in communications/journalism or related field preferred. Current or in process AMS Seal or NWS certification. Hurricane forecasting experience a plus. Working knowledge of weather and newsroom computers. Ability to ad-lib effectively with news anchors.

SENIOR DIGITAL SALES MANAGER (Regular full time/Orlando, FL)
Exciting and rare opportunity for a Senior Web Sales Manager. This position oversee and maximize digital and revenue budget and share by managing the sale of digital advertising to clients/agencies. Develop strategy for digital sales business plan and practices. Package, price and control digital inventory, manager and oversee the delivery process across multiple platforms (Wide Orbit, FreeWheel, FLX & GAM). Prepare and present professional sales presentations using the appropriate software and research techniques. Attend and participate on client calls; develop and maintain direct client relationships. Deal effectively with a varied list of clients and solve problems creatively. Problem/resolution skills required.
Develop new and innovative ways to help generate increased revenue and shares. Ensure achievement of digital revenue budgets. Work closely with Digital Content Manager to create and implement web campaigns that generate site traffic as well as increase revenue. Attend and participate in weekly Digital Sales Manager calls with FTS Digital Team. Work closely with Local and National Sales Managers to provide digital proposals, prospect lists and web updates.
Act as liaison for local market and FSS Interactive. Provide local market packages, sales ideas, rates and availability. Provide training and updates to Local and National Sales Managers and Account Executives in weekly Sales Meeting and weekly FLX Meeting. Assist Account Executives with presentations, proposals and local sales calls. Attend weekly internal Digital Team meeting; provide content and sales updates.
Assist Creative Services to implement and execute sales contests and promotions. Work with Fox O&O counterparts to implement creative and revenue generating ideas across multi sites & platforms, maximizing efficiencies. Develop and implement new business plans. Assist sales management with digital budgets, market shares and forecasts. Maintain knowledge of marketing, retail and competitive media, ratings, pricing, inventory control and budgeting requirements. Oversee sales and management of both WOFL & WOGX Digital Properties including websites, news app, weather app, sports app & FLX OTT platform.
