Job Posting: Broadcast/IT Maintenance Technician
WJHG/WECP Northwest Florida’s leading news stations seek a Broadcast/IT Maintenance
Technician in Panama City Beach, FL. This individual will be responsible for installing and
maintaining video, audio, and other equipment associated with television broadcasting including server-based record and play-out systems, non-linear editors, production switchers, routing switchers, MPEG encoders, decoders, automation, news room computer systems and broadcast transmission equipment.
- This is a full time position for an individual who works efficiently with little supervision.
-Must be able to work effectively under pressure
-Must have excellent communication skills and get along well with co-workers
-Must be able to read, understand and follow electrical and electronic schematic diagrams
-Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
-Must be available and respond timely to on-call work status, including weekends,
overnights and possibly holidays
- A B.S. degree or equivalent in electronics is preferred
- Helpful but not necessary to have worked at least 2 years in television/IT industry
-Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
-Must be available to work a minimum schedule of 40 hours per week
